Air Quality
The air inside your house can be more polluted than even the worst outdoor air. Chemicals, dust, and fragrances all add to the air and reduce the quality. Pthalates and other chemicals that off gas from carpet and furniture can also add to the air.
Air fresheners contain pthalates and other chemicals that can be hormone disruptors. To naturally keep the air quality in your house, you can open windows and let fresh air in, keep houseplants (especially ones that reduce toxins), and use essential oils or homemade potpourris to keep the air fresh and reduce odors.
