Bottled Water

Many people in America believe that bottled water is cleaner and better for them than tap water. This is a common misconception. Much of the bottled water that Americans buy comes from the same tap.

You can drink 40,000 8 oz. glasses of water for the same cost as three $1.50 bottles of water.

Most of the plastic bottles end up in landfills because many people do not recycle them. Not to mention the amount of greenhouse gases produced to truck bottled water from sources to store shelves.

To reduce your bottled water consumption, you can buy a filtered reusable plastic water bottle or refill a bottle from your sink's filter.

If you have a water cooler at work with a hot water dispenser and are willing to give up the water cooler for a faucet filter but still want the hot water dispenser, purchase an instant hot water dispenser that attaches to your sink faucet. It is more energy efficient than a water cooler and will still provide you with hot water.
